Over 100 Years of Service

The Berthoud Area Chamber of Commerce was created in Berthoud in 1907 by concerned business owners. Today the Chamber legacy continues with the dedication of the Berthoud business community, Churches, service groups, and other non-profit organizations, as well as businesses in the surrounding communities.

A Little Chamber History: 1907 – Compiled by Mark French, Berthoud Historical Society

Berthoud has got into line with a get-up-and-hustle chamber of commerce, an organization that is bound to do the commercial center of Larimer county’s great wheat belt, a power of good if rightly conducted, as, of course, it will be. It starts off with 90 members, and is officered by John H. Sargisson, president; C.E. Williams, vice-president; P.D. Nelson, secretary; and Guy E. Loomis, treasurer. (Berthoud Bulletin, Oct. 5, 1907)

rong>Secured Fine Headquarters The board of directors of the Berthoud chamber of commerce has secured a two-year lease on excellent rooms in the new Kee block on Mountain Avenue. The rooms will be large, lighted and chamber is to be congratulated on securing such a fine home. (Berthoud Bulletin, Oct. 5, 1907)
